How to Preach an Awesome Sermon:
Here are some awesome tips on preaching a fantastic sermon every time you minister.
1. Always be prepared! You are doing this for God, so do it with excellence. When I minister I always pretend I'm going to be in front of 10,000 people. Never rely only on your memory - have notes. You never know when you could be distracted or might lose your train of thought. But KNOW your material inside and out so the Holy Spirit can flow through you as He wishes.
2. Use illustrations to keep it interesting - real stories from your own life, your marriage, dog, job, children there is always something to share that is funny and interesting.
3. In some way EVERY message must Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ..........Every message.
4. Tell the audience exactly how the message relates to their lives TODAY. Make sure they understand that the message was not for only that time in the Bible. People need to know how your message will affect them, their lives, their family, their pain, etc.
5. Shoot a Bullet and NOT shotgun spray. Stick to one message and NEVER 3 or 4. Make sure your message is focused like a laser on one subject so that you know without a shadow of a doubt that when EVERY person leaves they know exactly what you ministered about. If you shoot shotgun spray they might not remember anything. There is nothing more frustrating than when I hear someone ask a person what the message was about and they can't remember.
When this happens, it's the ministers fault! Not theirs. Be sure when they leave they know what you spoke on.
